In the beginning of the lesson the class will discuss different instruments and how they work. The class will come up with their own simple sheet music that will be written on the blackboard.

Students will be divided in groups and given a specific sound to play or sing, with each note corresponding to the music on the blackboard. The class will then play the music they came up with with the teacher conducting and giving the rhythm.

Discussion:

How did you know it was your turn to play/sing?

Would it be possible to give a computer similar instructions and make an instrument with them?
