Teacher will give the students short texts with one letter or syllable replaced by a letter of another alphabet. For example letter U could be replaced with the cyrillic У.

Students will then try to read the text to familiarize themselves with the different alphabet.

Teacher will give them another text with one more letter or syllable replaced and the students will again read it.

The class will then come up with a pseudo-algorithm to determine the method of changing the letters or syllables.

Students will try to create their own text on writing application using algorithm to decide if the letter should be replaced or not. For example if the letter is U it should be replaced by У. If the letter is not U it should not be replaced and so on.

Discussion:

How are the other alphabet different from our own alphabet?

Could you write a whole text on your own language using a forgein alphabet?

This method could be used on a long term to teach different script alphabets to students on the long term.
