The exercise is based on improvisation. Students will be in a large circle. Each student will give a command to the whole group in their turn and the whole group will do the activity the command giver has chosen. The turn will go around in the circle until everyone has had a turn.

For example a command be “Jump three times on your right leg” or “Yell ‘peanuts’ and clap your hands twice” and so on.s

The teacher should also join in with the group to do and give commands to lead by example.

Discussion:

What are possible and impossible commands?

What happens if you give a command that can’t be done? For example “Jump to the roof”

What kind of commands can you give to a computer?
