The aim of the learning unit is to explain the use of arrays to the students and to try them out.
| Creator | Jan Pawlowski, Martin Idzik |
| Subject | Informatics |
| Length | 45 minutes |
| Pedagogical Approach | Explorative learning |
| Competences | Students should understand: How arrays are constructed What operations are possible What arrays can be used for Data types, generalization |
| Grades | Elementary school, from grade 3 |
| Technologies | Worksheet: Arrays 1 Worksheet, Arrays 2 Worksheet, Arrays 3 Worksheet, Arrays 4 Worksheet |
Contextualization: Examples are given when data can be stored in arrays (e.g. class representative election, weather data for one week)
Elaboration: Depending on the intensity, 3 worksheets, which contain increasing complexity, can be worked on. After each worksheet the solutions are compared
Reflection: It should be discussed for which data or problems arrays can be further used.
