At the beginning of the lesson a brief introduction to if/else statemens should be given. The class will come up with a set of rules to decide how the dice rolls determine the story structure. For example if the number is even the next word should begin with a consonant/else a vowel, if the number is four the next word should be a verb etc.

The students will be divided into groups of 3-5. Each group will come up with a story of their own by rolling a dice.

After 10 minutes each group will read their story to the whole class.

Discussion:

Are there contradictions in the rules?

Can the dice roll result in an impossible situation ie. grammatically incorrect sentence?

How could these problems be fixed?
