Description

Introduction: Activity 1: A Look at Weather. Activate
student’s prior knowledge by beginning the lesson with a
weather investigation held from the classroom window.
Discussion: What do you think weather is?
Why do you think weather is important? (5 minutes)
Activity 2: We’re going to listen to the song How’s the
weather! But some words of his song ran away! You are to
write them down to their places! (Teacher hands out
Worksheet). First, read! (Teacher gives 2 minutes for students
to understand clearly what is written). You’ll hear the song 2
times, fill in the missing words. And look at the lyrics and
check the worksheets yourselves! Let’s sing! (6 minutes)
Activity 3: Students work in the small groups and choose the
city (London, Wellington, Honolulu) for the observing
weather in these places and collecting the dates about it. (6
minutes)
Activity 4: Students create Milo, the Science Rover by following the
instructions below:

(10 minutes)
Activity 5: A) They use the “WeDo 2.0” software to program
their robots. By starting the motor at power 8, go in one
direction for 2 sec, then stop, and add their own voices about
the frequently weather in the city. (7 minutes)
B) Students choose the start place for their Milo and change
the program according their start point. (5 minutes).
Discussion: Students present the evidences about the cities’
weather. (3 minutes)
Reflections: Answer the question What did you think of
today’s lesson? Using the link https://www.classroomscreen.com/
exitpoll.html
And explain Why? (2 minutes)
