Main Idea: The goal of this scenario is to introduce how objects can be controlled and moved. The activity is performed without a computer.

Description:The topic should be introduced briefly – initially only the running game and the rules should be introduced:
Sus form groups of two and either use the printed board or draw a board (5X5 or 7X7) with chalk in the school yard.
A starting point (S) and destination point are recorded for each run, the helmsman must then specify the path to the destination with arrows.
Each team consists of helmsman, passenger and later secretary. The teams are not allowed to talk to each other. The helmsman hands an arrow to each passenger, and the passenger then walks in the direction of the arrow.
In the second phase of the game, the scribe writes down what steps were taken.
The game can be varied by drawing obstacles (X), the fields may then not be entered.
The pupils perform the game with changing target points. At first, try the game without further instruction.
In the next phase, a worksheet with tasks is used for control. Now the steps are to be documented additionally.
Worksheet: Control
In the next phase, the Bee Bot is introduced. This can be controlled differently than in the previous running game (forward, backward, rotation to the right / left). This changes the orientation and the control.
The students receive a worksheet with tasks on how to control the Bee Bot.
Worksheet: Controlling Bee Bots
Additionally, you can set tasks with obstacles to increase complexity.
Worksheet: Worksheet Bee Bot control and write
The students discuss:
• How did the two types of control differ (move right / left vs. rotate right / left) • What is easier, what were difficulties in controlling).
