Main Idea

Teachers briefly introduce why students should test their basic skills. The students perform the exercise on the computer. The teacher observes and gives assistance if necessary.

Activity 1:
Computer driving license level 1

Computer operation

  • Connect computer and mouse
  • Turn on the computer
  • Open a program
  • Cancel an incorrect action
  • Close a program
  • Shut down the computer

mouse and keyboard

  • Single and double click
  • Operation right and left mouse button
  • Find correct characters on the keyboard

Use the “Open Office” writing program

  • Write a short text
  • Insert a space
  • Delete a character / word
  • Move in the text
  • Write capital letters
  • Move to the next line
  • Highlight a word
  • Write a word in bold
  • One word in one other colour write
  • Open a file
  • Save a text under a new name

Activity 2:
Computer driving license class 3 – exercise

  • Start: Turn on the computer and connect the mouse.
  • Open the Open Office or Word program
  • Open a text file
  • Go to the bottom of the text
  • Write your name
  • Go to the next line
  • Write your name in CAPITAL LETTERS
  • Delete a text
  • Mark a word and delete it
  • Mark a word and make it BOLD
  • Mark a word and make it colorful
  • Write 5 words below each other!
  • Save your file!
  • Close the program
  • Turn off the computer
