Main Idea

Using micro:bit learners do simple programming activities and learn English terms on the topic of “My Family”. The basic idea is to learn foreign words in an interesting way.

Description

Αctivity 1 «My mood»: Students using micro:bit demonstrate
their mood (5 minutes, іnstruction).
Αctivity 2 «Repetition of material»: Students work on the
platform (https://makecode.microbit.org/) by answering the
teacher’s questions (10 minutes, іnstruction):
• What is your name?
• How old are you?
• In what class do you study?
• Do you have a brother?
• Do you have a sister?
Αctivity 3 «Learning New Words». Students learn new
words with the teacher and work with the card (20 minutes,

Activity 4 «Working with text». Students are introduced to
the text and answer the questions (20 minutes, instruction).
Activity 5 «Gather words». Students should write words and
program them (10 minutes, instruction):
