The topic should be introduced briefly – continents and cardinal points on the map are discussed together. Students are welcome to tell stories about where they have been on the world map.
The students now receive one playing field per team and the first worksheet, with which the continents, cardinal points and coordinates are introduced. Once the board is labeled, the Bee Bots can be dealt.
Worksheet 1: Worksheet Bee Bot World Tour
The students discuss:
- Which tasks were difficult, which were easy?
- What’s the best way to orient yourself so you don’t forget where the Bee Bot is looking?
- Can you simplify the control (loops!)
