Learning Activities

Activity 1: Discussion: what is music? how is it created? what musical works do
you know?
Αctivity 2: Let’s try to play with micro: bit music notes. Animate notes with the
commands in the “Basic” section.
Example:

Αctivity 3: Now let’s try to play music.
Connect one crocodile clip to PIN 0 and headphones; another to PIN GND and
headphones.

Use the “Start melody” command in the “Music” section to select any melody and
play it on a micro: bit. Adjust the program if necessary.

Αctivity 4: You used a ready-made melody, let’s try to create your own. Download
an example program, consider which commands it is built from. Are you familiar
with all the teams? (If not, the teacher should explain the actions to the students).
Try changing the program so that your melody sounds.
Example program:

Αctivity 5: Discussion: What musical instruments do you know? Why do we need
such a variety of musical instruments? What is the most unusual tool you have come
across?
Do you know what a guitar is and what they are?
Αctivity 6: Let’s try to play the guitar with a micro:bit. You need to make a guitar
pattern with thick paper.

Connect the PIN to the micro: bit, headphones and guitar as shown in the photo.

Create a program to play music on your guitar.
