Main Idea
Students make music by using the scratch software. The software allows them to choose their favorite instruments, add sounds and create songs. Afterwards, they can try to play the same song that they created via the software with their instruments.

Description
Introduction: Teacher explains to students that music can be produced from a wide range of sources by giving examples. Afterwards, students are divided in groups of 2-3. Groups are set by the teacher based on the instrument that students play. (10 minutes)
Worksheets-Activity 1.1,1.2: Students choose their favorite instrument and make the code. They select sounds and create a song by using scratch software. (20 minutes)
Discussion: Students present in class the song they created via the software. A discussion takes place in class and students are encouraged to talk about their experience. (10 minutes)
Worksheets-Activity 2: Students play the song they created via the software with their instruments. (20 minutes)
Discussion: Each group plays his song in class. Students discuss with their classmates the pros and cons of this process. (20 minutes)

1. Open the Scratch software: https://scratch.mit.edu/
1.1. Create a song by following the instructions below:
-Choose a backdrop that is related to music (choose, paint or upload a backdrop)
-Choose sprites (humans and instruments), (choose, paint or upload a sprite)
1.2 Program the musical instrument to play a song (choose sounds and make musical patterns).
2. Play with your instrument the song you created by using the software.
